Different of Deploy Products
Terence
Hi all,
I would like to ask the difference between OpenDeploy, DataDeploy and EasyDeploy.
Since my Company only got OpenDeploy module. I have no idea about DataDeploy and EasyDeploy.
Thx.
Terence

OpenDeploy is for deploying file assets from one location on one server to another location [usually] on another server.
DataDeploy is for deploying data (content and/or metadata) from a location on one server to a DB [usually] on another server. It can also be used to create an XML file from the deployed data.
EasyDeploy is, I believe, a trial-version of OpenDeploy with limitations imposed regarding the number of target systems that can be configured or some such.

EasyDeploy is included with TeamSite. OpenDeploy is sold separately.
EasyDeplopy provides a subset of functionality found in OpenDeploy.
DataDeploy can be used with either EasyDeploy or OpenDeploy. The feature limitations of EasyDeploy as compared to OpenDeploy are:
+ Cannot use multi-instance feature on base server (i.e., only one base server process or service allowed)
+ No parallel deployments to multiple targets (can deploy to multiple receivers one deployment at a time only)
+ No transactional synchronization across multiple targets (transaction limited to single target, related to point above)
+ No multi-tiered or routed deployment support
+ No encryption
