Installing TS 6.5.0

sandy_27_1111

Hi,
I am in the process of installing TS 6.5.0 in a windows 2000 SP4 machine, but once the installtion has started, it throws a error saying that

Caught Exception: File E:\iw-webd\conf\httpd.conf.template does not exist or is not a file
STACK TRACE:java.lang.Exception: File E:\iw-webd\conf\httpd.conf.template does not exist
.....

and the installer quits, I even tried to run the installer again but it say an earlier installation of teamsite is detected and cann't upgrade, then the installer quits

I removed all the entries from the registry and tried to run the installer again but it gave the same error.

Have any of you guyd faced the same before...id yes what was the way around for this

Something is missing here - like the correct location of the TeamSite installation directory (generally referred to as "IWHOME") - as the iw-webd directory belongs inside "IWHOME" which cannot be a drive letter by itself.

The path should be something like E:\iw-home\iw-webd or E:\Interwoven\TeamSite\iw-webd etc.

Sounds like something got messed up in the installation - and you may need to do a complete re-installation - but I'd check with support first as there may be some simpler way of fixing it (though I'd still favor re-installation, because if *this* is broken, who knows what *else* is broken...)

What do the logs say ?

sandy_27_1111

the logs are clean, only windows event manager notes the error

There has to be a log file somewhere that iwproxy logged too before it dies.

search for files name *log

go to control panel -> services and try to start iwproxy, see if any logs have changed

mgal

Run iw-home/bin/iwproxy -d from the command line and see what it says?
