Hi,

We are using a field from the template to assign the filename. Sometimes it has a $ sign in it and this isn't showing up. for example If field is xyz$10, the name is showing up as xyz0. Is there any special escaping we need to do in the javascript to get this in the name?

Where is this taking place? There are many places where $1 would be treated as a special variable. Please post the relevant code in question.

I just realized the DCR is getting saved just fine. It's the output XML file thats not being named correctly. Anyway, heres the relevant code --

So is the issue with the resourceID field then?

The DCR is saved and named correctly, but when you generate a file from your tpl, it is named incorrectly, is that correct? How are you assigning the name for generated file?

The resourceID is the name for the generated file.

I dont think $ character will give problem on DCT.
on output template u can use single quote (' ') rather than ("")for performaing this.
