Content Transfer test example.What are the essentials?

Hi All,

I am working on implementing a content transfer test example such that, the aspect of content transfer in Documentum can be depicted in a manner wherin i can display the metadata or size of any particular file on my Tomcat console.

Having read the chapter on Content Transfer from the WDK 6.5 guide, i have got the basic idea of UCF and its associated functionalities.But having searched on this topic i have found posts and documents where people are using DFS and its functionalities. Is DFS an essential requirement for the functionality i am trying to achieve?Can i implement my content transfer test without DFS?

I have been not abe to find a concrete answer to this question.So i am really looking forward for your help to get me through this.

As of now i have just a DummyComponent class which opens up a page on the click of my custom link inside my menubar much like a Hello World page.My aim is to use this class to at least print a trace on my Tomcat console which will show the details of any content in the content server ( which will be hardcoded in my request in this class).

Do you think it is a correct approach to add this as my JSP in my custom folder without any changes in the Java code to obtain content data.?

I feel the solution to my query is to know how the code sample on page 411 of WDK6.5 Example 91.Getting multipartupload files in the request pasted in the previous post is to be configured or placed.

Could anyone please guide me through this.How to implement that example?

This is my dummy java class file. I have just tried to incorporate the code from the JSP mentioned in the previous post to at least have some out put at my console thereby certifying content acess and transfer process.Will this work?
