OD Hanging in commit phase

Hi ALL,

This is w,r,t my previous post regarding OD is hanging at commit phase,
i got some problem with post and created new one,
I have attached all the configuration file.

I have also attached receiver log.

In receiver log iam getting statusDetail="rollback" [sometime]
and some other time statusDetail=" " what is this exactly iam not getting.

rollback means, for example if i update a file and deploy and by any means if it fails and starts rollbacking this updated file or it rollbacks updated file and deletes the origional file.

Please provide me something about this.

Your excerpt of the log information is just that - an excerpt - without sufficient information to see what occurred before/after the information you posted.

If you're having problems with OD hanging you should probably open a case with IWOV Support.

While waiting for help from Support - consider making sure that you have sufficient disk space on your receivers (3 times the maximum amount of data to be transferred without exceeding the threshhold of free space on the disk [often disks are configured with %5 to %10 reserved so you don't get %100 of the actual disk space]) - lack of sufficient disk space has been know to cause hanging problems with OD in the past.

In this basically I am deploying defference of two editions, by taking a new edition on each day.

When I notice from 40 days, I found out that it hangs on week ends when there is no difference between the editions.

I mean to say when the deployed files are ZERO, the DNR script don't kick off.

Can any one please tell me possible problem and solution or at least a solution to bifircate[Not to execute DNR script] when editions difference is zero.

Environment : OD 6.0.2 with no sp and TS 6.5 on solaris 8.

Does the DNR script run and fail? Does the DNR script not run? If the issue only occurs when there are no changes to the editions and you run this every night along with a process to create editions - perhaps you need to fix the problem further up-stream? E.g. Either always make sure to touch and modify a file within the workarea / submit to staging and therefore cause a difference in every edition; or make sure that if there are no changes between the latest edition and staging that you simply log the fact (perhaps send email) and don't bother trying to run the deployment at all; or if it's the script that's hanging but everything else seems to be working okay - work on making the script more robust when dealing with situations in which there are no changes to deploy.

When it Hangs the script does not kicks off,, and now the care has been taken when there is no difference in latest two editions not invoke deployments.

Watching further behaviour.
