[DM_WORKFLOW_E_NO_ACCESS]error: throwing Exception while Reruning failed Automatic Tasks

Hello All,

I am getting "DfException:: THREAD: http-9080-Processor46; MSG: [DM_WORKFLOW_E_NO_ACCESS]error: "This user does not have the permission to perform the current operation on object, 4a01e43a800241e4." while Reruning failed Automatic Tasks from work flow superviser's inbox.

Let me throw some back ground of this functionality. We have some auto activites in our work flow. Some auto activites are failing due to JMS down then these work items are returing to work flow super visior. We are Reruning these failed work items from work flow super visior's inbox and more over this user has Superuser privileges but still its throwing "DfException:: THREAD: http-9080-Processor46; MSG: [DM_WORKFLOW_E_NO_ACCESS]error: "This user does not have the permission to perform the current operation on object, 4a01e43a800241e4." in the JMS logs and same work item again coming to work flow supervisior's(same user) inbox.

So could you please helpme out how can i fix this issue.

Hello,

Some more information I can put it here.

If I Rerun, then its calling our custom methods, there we are aquiring work items, which are "Acuired and Paused(r_runtime_status=5) by docbase owner" with out any if condition (check for dormant state). So is it root cause for this issue.

Please help me, if you have any idea.

You should always check to see if the task has already been "acquiried" first before acquiring it again.

Nothing - dont try to acquire it again, since the task is already assigned to the performer of the automatic activitiy.

Correct Johnny, but our requirement is complete/clear the failed/stuck work items from supervisor's inbox with error free.

How can I change from Acquired Passued (r_runtime_sate=5) state to Finished (r_runtime_state=2) state of dmi_workitem objet.

Do we have any direct API commands for above thing.

My requiremnt is to be clean failed work items from work flow supervisor's inbox.

Yes, there is api to complete/forward task. I assumed your custom code already had it, since without this last step, your workflow would never continue. For proper code syntax, look at the dm_noop_method on content server bin folder. All this auto method does is acquire the task and the completes/fowards it. You should be able copy the code stub and insert your custom business logic in between.

I tried with DFC code and API commands to Complete the work iteam, but its throwing below exception, since it is in A-Paussed state.

[DM_WORKFLOW_E_WORKITEM_TRANSITION]error: "Workitem (4a01e43a8002426b) fails to make the state transition."

[DM_WORKFLOW_E_ACTION_NOT_ALLOWED]error: "This operation is not allowed when the object is at 'paused' state."

You should test to see if its in the pause state before completing. If it is in pause, then execute the resume api. The syntax is in the DFC javadocs.

Resume also not working. It's throwing same above exception.

Hi,

Check the Client Capability of the User

in case if the user capability is

Consumer : Then he can only forward tasks.

Contributor : Here user can initiate WFs.

Note: Client Capability is Hierarchical.

Check you workflow/form acl once and check whether user has permission or not.
