Search Captiva OCR file for specific term

We are using Captiva 5.3 and we do not have Dispatcher, it is our plans to go 6.0 sometime next year

Our process creates Multi-Page TIFF and OCRed text file, we are looking to search the text file for a specific term(s) to help us exported to the right location within Documentum, the required term it shows only in a small percentage of the files in totally random location on the page.

Any suggestion on how to handle this without upgrade to 6 or use of Dispatcher.

Since this "term" can appear anywhere in the content, Dispatcher will not help you. You basically have to search the entire content for the existence of the term in the full-text index.

You can do this as a server job within Documentum and then move the file appropriate to the location. You would have to configure Captiva to export the document to a temp location in the repository first.

Unfortunately, Documentum and Docbase are beyond my control, I need to deploy the solution within the Captiva environment

Unless Captiva stores its own full-text index, I'm not sure how you plan to search for the term outside of Documentum.
