Type Display Configuration using Composer

Hi;

While using DAB we'r able to define the scope of display configuration like : application='webtop', role='hr_admin'

In the Display configuration tab of Composer there is only Application scope for configuration.

Is role based scoping canceled in newer versions? How can I handle if I want to display a specific field to a specific role only? Do I have to customize WDK or can I do it by using presets?

Have you checked the presets, that could do the trick for you

Good chance, this feature was never included, only so much a development and test team can include in a release. Suggest you raise a Tech Support case to get it included again

Yes, I checked the Presets. No field based configuration can be made using presets. You can only limit the types that can be seen by a role.

I don't have time to wait for EMC to come with a solution. I think I'll prepare my project in composer and modify that type using DAB.

I won't ask EMC for a feature request, I hope that they are aware of it. If I start to ask for new features, there are zillions of them before coming to this one. It is enough for me if Documentum runs the feature set that it offered without any problem.

thing is that if you don't report it, there's also a lot of chances it will never be included in composer and one day, DAB, will not work any more (in version 7,8,123...)

as you say there have zillions of feature request..... gotta make noise if you want your to be pushed to the top of the heap..... one does presume they have and act on, some fancy report setup that details how many support calls are linked to feature requests and defects cases.....
