Branches not showing up in tree

We are in the process of upgrading from 5.5.2 to 6.1 on Win 2K3 on a brand new box. We have installed Teamsite and copied over the backing store from our 5.5.2 box to our 6.1 box. Everything seems to be fine except that we can't see the branches are underneath "main" except for the default ones (Editions, Workareas). We have several other branches that are siblings of editions and workareas, but in Content Center, they do not show up.

I am able to navigate to them just fine if I type in the path in the address area and hit "go", but we need them to show up in the tree as well. Is there something simple I am missing?

Not sure. Look at the Y: drive on your server and open the properties of /default/main and look at the security tab. See what the permissions are set as there. That may tell you what the problems may be related to. along with this, you may have to remap your user and group ids between boxes as they may not be the same as the used to, causing you to be unable to see the files.
