Session Issue

Hi Guys,

In our application we are creating session using getDfSession() and after our work is done we are releasing the session like sessionManager.release(session).

However, when i execute 'execute show_sessions' (in Samson editior) i observed that several sessions are in still Active status though they are released.

Anyone knows the reason, why the the session is still in Active status though they are released in the application.

Any help is appreciated.

Do you use getSession of newSession API to obtain a session?

What is the version of DFC? Are you releasing the session in the finally block?

1. I am getting the session from the SessionManager,

session= sMgr.getSession()

2. We are using DFC 6.0 version

3. Yes i am releasing the session in the finally block only.

If session pooling is enabled, though u release the session.... the session will continue to be active for the time period that is set in Client_session_timeout parameter in server.ini file

The default value for Client_session_timeout is 5 mins ... so c if session gets inactive after 5 mins ....
