Customize DCR format

Hi All

I want to save my DCR in perticular format.
for example
A normal DCR when saved will have the format :
<item name="firstName"><value>John</value></item>

the desired format is
<firstName>John</firstName>

Can any one help me out with this problem... Any help is appritiated ...

If you're using TS 6.5 (possibly 6.x - can't remember right now) - you can create a DCT of type "xml" as opposed to being of type "iwov" (as defined in the templating.cfg) and you can then define your own DTD for the DCR created by that DCT. I suggest you read the FormsPublisher Developers Guide - specifically Appendix D "Creating Data Capture Templates from DTDs"
