Is ARABIC name will set to field in INDEX Module?

Hi All,

How can I achive this task.

In INDEX module setup I had a Field, named as Arabic EmployeeName: it mapped with custom type in Export to Documentum Module.

Problem is when the end user type his name in ARABIC. Documents are imported into Content Server. When I see the properties, ARABIC name will be like this :????????????

So how can I resolve this?

But in Content Server having ARABIC language pack is installed.

Please help me, to fix this one.

The language pack is not really relevant here. What matters is that every layer supports UTF-8, from the RDBMS to the browser.

What database are you using and which character set and encoding is configured?

Are you able to store arabic characters in it?

Can you try to set a property (e.g. title) to an arabic name in DA or Webtop?

Hi Bacham,

My content server supports Arabic Language. Database is Oracle Server with ARABIC supported. In Current repository and having Arabic documents with meta data in Webtop as well as in DA it is working fine.

I had observed when I enter the values in Index Module it is taking as JUNK values. I had observed in INDEX Tree Log from ADMIN CONSOLE.

Is there any other resolution?.

I'm not familiar with "Index Module". What is it? Is it a custom module that you developed?
