Issue with Documentum Full Text Plugin for every restart of documentum docbrocker

Hi all,

I am facing with this issue for every time i restart doc base in this order. Kindly Help me in resolving this issue.

Currently:-

following this order for documentum restart

Index agent

Fast Web Server

Fast Server

Documentum java method server

Documentum Docbase

Documentum Docbrocker

For every restart of docbase i am facing this issue.

DM_FT_INDEX_E_NO_FULLTEXT_PLUGIN_LOADED error:"The fulltext query plugin did not initialize with the full text search engine 'fast' specified in the server config object. Please ensure that the search engine is functioning and is configured correctly.

Only way that i am following to resolve this issue is to delete and create index agent every time. (this is taking lot of time on server)

I verified all server config object from iDQL before restarting docbase every and after everything seems to be fine.

My configuration is Documentum Content Server and Index Server and Index Agent on the Same Windows Server08.

Please help me to resolve this rare issue.

Can you check these?

select r_object_id from dm_location where object_name='fast40'

Then dump the r_object_id found using this query

select * from dm_ftengine_config

select * from dm_fulltext_index

Check the physical location of fast40 directory whether it contains all the necessary files or not.

What is the version of Documentum you are using?

We had similar problem last time when we had crystal reports installed.

We are using Documentum Content Server 6.5 Sp2 with index server and index agent compatable with that version.

Do you follow the order while restarting?

For startup:

1. Content server

2. Index server

3. Index Agent.

For shut down:

1. Index Agent

2. Index Server

3 Content server

Do you have all the software in one box?

we have all the software on the same box. we followed your order of doing things. But we still facing that Issue.
