ReplicantContainer deleteinstance ?

Hi ,

I am using TS 6.5 on solaris.

My dct contains :

<parentcontainerRepl min =2 max =4>

<feild>

<childcontainer1 min = 1 max = 4>
<childcontainer2 min =1 max = 1 >
<childcontainer3 min =1 max = 1 >
</parentcontainerRepl >

each childcontainerReplicant has fields as well as nested replicantcontainers again. however my issue is

based on the field value i have to kep one childcontainer and do a deleteinstance for the rest.

so the deleteinstance returns false for my format

var temp = IWDatacapture.getItem("/parentcontainer[1]/childcontainer2");
temp.deleteInstance(1) -------------> returns false.


even this format returns false :
var temp = IWDatacapture.getItem("/parentcontainer[1]/childcontainer2[1]");
temp.deleteInstance(1) -------------> returns false.

can someone help ?

One idea I came up with is to collapse the containers that are associated
with other selections.

So if I choose button 1, collapse containers 2 & 3, etc.

You should also be able to force them to stay closed since there are now
events onCollapseOrExpand, and recursively make it readonly
