Create/delete My Workspace items?

Browsing through the WOM and was just wondering if anyone has tried, if possible, or knows of the section pertaining to creating and deleting My Workspace items?

What I'm thinking is that I might want to push to users of 'x' workspace or 'y' facility and create a Favorite/Quicklink and then later delete it.

The reason why would be as a way to soft push new temporary content to our users without them having to do anything, or as little as possible.

Any ideas?

A completely different approach is to use a saved WS search instead of a subscription list. To 'push' a WS to a user, set an attribute that makes it appear in the search, then reset the attribute to make it disappear. Solution Toolkit Contracts viewset shows this example.

An interesting approach but it's tied to that saved search and not availble as a client naviagtes throughout many spaces so won't solve this particular challenge. Thanks though, I can see where that idea can be used in other instances.

Not sure if it will work, but from the User object you can call getFavorites() and getSubscriptions(). From there you can use the Favorites and Subscriptions interfaces to try to do what you want.

However, I think it is implemented in a way that only the logged on user can manage his/her favorites. Not sure if it will work for what you want.
