how users are mapped to roles, groups and subgroups

In real-time how users are mapped to roles, groups and subgroups, say a user has a role of Manager and he belongs to say consulting group and he is also part of other subgroups too with a limited privilege, so if have any other practical exposure in handling complex users, groups, role and sub groups please share...

users are "mapped" to groups/roles via users_names attribute of dm_group.

You can do whatever you want with groups and roles.

I use groups for mapping a company structure (marketing, back-office, development, etc.)

I try to use roles when I need to assign a group/person to a specific application feature/function (WDK actions and controls).

Sometime they mix in the ACL, sometimes they don't.
