TBO Query -extend DfFolder

Hi Guys,

I have one query about TBO that is:-

Can we extend DfFolder like this way??

and its mandatory that one TBO have only one object type...can a TBO code execute for multiple object type??

public class CutomDocument extends DfFolder implements ICustomDocument, IDfDynamicInheritance.

Yes, a TBO is meant for only one type and hence its been asked to create the TBO module with the Type name to map TBO with types.

Use SBO if there are common things to be implemented for more than one TBO.And call the SBO with in TBOs.

To add to the previous response, note also that you can only have 1 TBO per object type.

Also, as a rule of the thumb, I always try to avoid adding TBO to out of the box object types because you never know if in the future, EMC is not going to implement their own TBO's on those object types and then you'll get into trouble. Better to create a sub-type of dm_folder and build your TBO against it. You'll just have to make sure that whatever client app you use creates folders using your type and not dm_folder

In D6x land you could create an Aspect which can be attached to multiple types. It can contain attributes and business logic code. A type can have multiple aspects attached to it.
