Need DQL query to find all custom object types in a docbase

Hi,

I have to find all custom object type created by users in a docbase. Is there any query to find the count of all custom object types?

P.S.: 2 weeks back, I found few queries in the support forum. But today when i searched for it, I didnt get any result

There isn't any attribute that distinguishes the native types from the custom types, so we have to go through an elimination process to exclude the possible Documentum types from the custom types. This query should get a very close result, since I dont know what Documentum modules are installed in your docbase, and finally you can always go through the result and verify manually,

select * from dm_type where substr(name,1,3) not in ('dm_', 'dmc', 'dmi', 'web', 'cts', 'dmr', 'dam', 'irm', 'bam', 'scs', 'bpm', 'drs');

I'm moving this into the Documentum developers community, hopefully someone will answer.

As for not finding code in the Support forum, that could be an ECN search indexing issue where expected results might not be returned properly.

You might want to ask this question directly in Support forums.

To find count of the custom object types with super type as dm_sysobject..

Select count(*) from dmi_dd_type_info where label_text='Sysobject' and type_name!='dm_sysobject'
