Can XSLT presentation generate rendition in XML format in Web Publisher?

When I try to associate a XSLT presentation with a XML content, the Transform Format list does not show "xml". Is it allowed to generate a XML rendition for a XML content?

We DO need to publish the content in XML format in a structure which is different from the XML content. How to solve this issue?

The XSLs are tipically assigned to objects with xml format which is the source of every content in Webpublisher. So you can't add a rendition with the same format as the primary content have. Though you don't have to worry: create a format with name, for example pub_xml and with other extension than xml (e.g pxml), so you can publish it also (don't forget to add that format as an enabled format for the publishing configuration). Just think about it, xhtml is also an xml just with some lexical "restrictions"...
