Error when Enabling the LDAP Configuration Object

Hi Experts,

I created a new LDAP configuration object. I was successfully able to create it. I tried to enable the Congif object.

That is I tried to Right Click on that object from DA and goto properties. I checked the enable checkbox.Then clicked ok.

I got the following error message.

"Failed to create or save LDAP configuration Object. Failed to enable the LDAP config Object".

I could not find any errors in the Logs of my application server. I tried clearing app server and content server cache and restarted

both servers. But no use.

I fired this query.

select ldap_config_id form dm_server_config.

I got 00000000000000000.

Could anybody please provide a solution?

Did you create it using DQL? If so, then you might be getting authentication errors when it tries to validate the LDAP connection. I suggest you use DA to create LDAP object. The first step it does is to verify that your binding username/password is correct.

Hi,

What application server do you use? You can get misterious errors on Websphere.

Have you set up a Secure LDAP config object? Have you done the required steps in this case (copy libraries to the right place from thirdparty folder)?
