view and export pdf rendition by default

Hi ..

Is it possible to do a settings such that when a user views or exports a non pdf document that has pdf rendtion, the  document should open as pdf file by default and not in its native format.

This is already done thro webtop customization. Just want to know if there is a feature to support this.

What version of Webtop do you have?

In early versions (i.e. 5.3 spX I think) each user could configure viewing and editing format per object type in their perferences.

In 6.5 you can configure default settings for all users in Webtop. Only problem is you have to give an explicit path to executable, so if your site has a mix of PDF viewing software i.e. different adobe reader versions, you will not be able to do that.

In Webtop 6.5sp2, see setting "<preferred_renditions>" in file wdk/app.xml
