Changing the Installation Owner Documentum 6.5 SP1

Background:

My company is in the process of cloning our existing Documentum 6.5 SP1 deployment and other related components (Index Server, ADTS, and EICS) as well.  Originally the deployment was installed with a domain account that also had admin privileges on the local box, but this new cloning environment does not reside in that domain nor has that account.

Cloned Environment:

• Same OS version
• Same CS version
• Same docbase name, serial number, etc..
• Different installation owner id
• Different domain

Question:

1. Is it possible to change the installation owner after the installation has been done?

2. Is it possible to change keep the installation owner id but change the domain? If so, will the other components work (Index Server, ADTS, ECIS)?

You can certainly chnage the installation owner, since the change is not driven due to security reasons, the most easiest way for you would to do the following

- Change that domain user to system user. In other words, create a new local user account with the same name and add it to the admin group on the CS host and remove the old domain account from the Administration group

- Change this domain user authentication to inline user in the docbase.
