I'm not sure your question makes sense.
Are you trying to add a checkbox or radio button *next* to a VFE textarea or *within* a VFE textarea?
The former can probably be done using the rowcontinue="t" attribute.
The latter generally doesn't work well since it implies the use of an HTML form within a VFE textarea and, if you do a bit of searching in this forum, you'll find that inserting forms into VFE textareas doesn't work very well.
If I've missed the mark in terms of what you're attempting to do - please try to rephrase your question with more detail.
(also - please post it *only* in this forum - as this is where questions about VFE belong)

Actually i want to add a radio button on the toolbar present in the VFE. and when the user clicks on that radio button a popup window should be opend and a HTML form should be displayed. The HTML form container 3 things.
1) An text box in which user can enter the name for the radio button.
2) An text box in which user can enter the value for that radio button.
3) A button, when the user press that button that radio button should be included in the VFE itself..
It is just like a DatePicker present on any HTML form.

Check out the Visual Format Developers guide. It will tell you how to customize the VF toolbar.

You might want to take a look at these posts (

Actually I would try to post this question in a couple more of the DevNet forums. You've only cross posted in two others -- you'd have more luck if you try others. I would bet that the Mediabin or Worksite folks might have an answer for you.
* sarcasm off *
... somebody had to say it
