Hi, I am relatively new to Teamsite. I was wondering how to achieve multiple deployments. I am targetting a workflow with a preview option. I want the author to be able to preview his work. Then after he is done, he can submit it to a reviewer.

Is it possible for the workflow to deploy onto 2 different locations, in the same job cycle? I am not sure if you can modify the wft_opendeploy.cfg to cater to different servers depending on the stage of the job.

Please help.

Is it possible to do this - yes.
The rest of the answer is RTFM the OpenDeploy manuals and/or (perhaps better to begin with) get training from Interwoven for OpenDeploy.

I say this not to be "mean" - but because you admit your new to this stuff and your questions clearly show you haven't done either of the above - and those are the general requirements for working with these (or really, any) enterprise product.

Also - please do not cross-post the same question in multiple forums - this is the correct forum for OpenDeploy questions - which seems to be the primary topic for your thread - despite the mentioning of workflow.

You could also use an external task in teamsite to call a custom perl file that will copy the file(s) out to another directory on a pre-production website (ftping would also work) and the user can then view the file through there.

I am still using the same wft file. I have added a couple of new tasks and also played around with the task sequence. Took some doing, but finally got it working.

May I ask how you did it? I have gone over the manual as suggested by another response, but I haven't found a way to specify multiple nodes for one deployment in a workflow.

I know you can have replicationFarms in the odnodes.xml, but the wft_opendeploy.cfg only allows useNode as the key value.

Has anybody found a way to specify a replicationFarm in the cfg file instead of useNode?
