Workflow submission using Open API

Hi,

I am working on Teamsite version 5.5.2

My requirement is to set the metadata for bunch of files using Open API and then submit those files to workflow already created(This workflow is not created as per Open API workflow).

I am not able to find out how to submit the files to workflow. I could see method called IWFileBatch.submit but could not find out how to specify the parameters like workflow name or any other parameters.

Is there any documentation available which explains the flow of how to do it or any other way by which i can submit the files to workflow programatically.

Submitting files to a WF automagically is a tough one, esp in 5.5

You can use iwjobc to invoke a job spec file, but it must be complete (i.e. not
a WFT, but all the paramters filled in). This is a dificult task if te WFT is complex (as
yours is).

Please be advised that Intewoven has announced the end-of-life plan for 5.5.2, and OpenAPI is a "mature" API. I strongly encourage you to think about upgrading. What you are describing a is a non-trivial development effort, and you may want to expend that energy on a product version that will be maintained for longer.

Just something to think about.

Why ? 5.5.2 won't be end of lifed for at least 2 days.
