Hello Friends,
I have added a new custom menubar item (menuitemA) and have described the actions and components xmls. The Java class governing the events pertaining
to this menuitem is common to one of my other menuitemB customizations.
Now on the JSP of my menuBarA has a table with 4 columns with the 4th column having buttons(Edit/Update-Cancel) for every row.The 2nd and 3rd columns have text and
password fields respectively which will be made editable or non editable depending on the button clicks.i.e. the text and password
fields will be uneditable when the "Edit" button is seen and the same fields will be editable when "Update"/"Cancel" button is seen.
Now for this requirement of mine the button onclick events will be serverside.(I am not sure if i can employ Javascript here.). As a result
i need to get back to the same JSP page on the button clicks.
Had the <start>page</start> described in the component xml been unique, i would have used setComponentPage(start) (Correct me if iam wrong).
But since the other menubar items too have "start" in their xml backed by the same java class, i suppose setComponentPage(start) would raise
the ambiguity as to which "start" page to display.
My queries are:
1) Are my concerns about using setComponentPage(start) in this scenario valid?
2) Can setComponentReturn() on click of the buttons help me land back on the same JSP page after server side modifications?
Thanks & Regards
Vishnu S
