TeamSite Search on Windows box

Hi,

Currently we are on TS 6.5 SP1 on Solaris box. We haven't yet configured the TeamSite search functionality. I know it is recommended to use a separate system to install Search & Index server. I want to know is it possible to use Windows system for Search & Index server while TS server is running on Solaris. Has anyone tried that? How much feasible is it?

It is not possible to have the Cross-Platform search for now, but this functionality might just be supported in the near-future releases.
