DFS 6.5 Configuration in Eclipse

I am new to DFS. I have few doubts,

1) What are the jars required for installing DFS 6.5 in Eclipse. Which product i have to download for getting DFS 6.5 Jars?

I have found in deployment guide that,

1) DFS is installed as a part of Content Server installation

2) The other major component of DFS - the client side runtime support and tools for building custom DFS services- are included with DFS SDK.

Our requirement is to write a search() method in DFS and expose it as webservices. The search method will be used by CRM application to search the document in Content Server repository.

1) Please let me know whether both emc-dfs.ear and emc-dfs.war are installed as part of content server installation. We are going to use BEA weblogic server.

2) If BEA weblogic server is used, whether DFS SDK is required or not.

3) Whether we have to use Eclipse or Documentum Composer for exposing DFS as webservices?

Please share your experience. I am very much confused!

We are going to use BEA weblogic server.   >> EAR and WAR archives provide the same funcition set. Which one you need to install depends on your requirement. If you use a standalone BEA weblogic server, you can just ignore Content Server bundled DFS.2) If BEA weblogic server is used, whether DFS SDK is required or not.  >> You build custom DFS services archive (saying custom-dfs.ear) by the help of DFS SDK, deploy it in 
WebLogic server (in your case), then you write client program to access your custom web services by the
help of DFS SDK and the artifacts you have generated.

3) Whether we have to use Eclipse or Documentum Composer for exposing DFS as webservices?

>> Documentum Composer is a good utility to build DFS custom services. You are free to use other IDEs (Eclipse, Intellij, ...) to build DFS custom services.
