I see these items as the most interesting:
1. A new TeamSite module is being offered with this release called Content Transformation Services. It allows TeamSite users to convert Microsoft Word documents to PDF or HTML format directly from CC Std or CC Pro.

2. The submit wizard can be skipped after the completion of some file operations by configuring CC..

3. Starting with TeamSite 6.5 Service Pack 2, file system lists can be customized in CC Pro.

I too have yet to hear of a lot of installations.

So far we've run into two problems.

1. iw_workarea variable is missing in workflows started via "New Job"
2. IE now complains about active x control security settings, preventing the use of Visual Format.

Hi John,

On number 1, I think you might have run into a bug. You should contact Support (you can give them Bug ID 62527 and more details) and ask them whether what you are seeing matches the bug that was filed.

We had trouble installing it on a Windows 2003 server that has Windows 2003 SP1 installed. Basically, the install failed and we had to back out each module by hand. I would suggest backing up your entire iwhome directory (just in case). I would also contact support before you install, to see if they resolved the Windows 2003 Server SP1 / TeamSite SP2 issue.

The fix suggested by support is to uninstall Windows 2003 SP1, install TeamSite SP2, and then reinstall Windows 2003 SP1.

but in my mind it will be better to use #3 instead of uninstalling and reinstalling the whole software.

I agree. Unfortunately, on my system, the DEP tab does not appear as described. We are probably going to wait until there is an updated installation package, rather than uninstall the Windows SP.

Generally, I believe, any SP is a superset of all preceding SP's - so you should be able to install 6.5 and then SP2 without installing SP1 first - but it's probably best to double-check with Support first.
(however, you might also want to make sure that you won't be adversely affected by the bugs which have already been mentioned in the forums)

I'm also experiencing problems with external tasks. They've stopped running. Removing the arena file and workflow store temporarily fix it, but it returns. I'm about to open a case for this as well.

We have sp2 installed and its got some fixes which are useful.

I added in the change as suggested in the release notes for the service pack but this didn't work for me. I wondered if anyone has actually got it working?

We're moving from 552 to 65 sp2, so anything related to that version interests me... but euh, what "change as suggested in the release notes" are you talking about?

If you look at the supplement document for SP2 it says the following.

Chapter 3
Submit Wizard Configuration
The default behavior for ContentCenter Standard is to invoke a submit wizard after the
following file operations:
Edit
Copy
Delete
Move
Rename
Import
New DCR
ContentCenter Standard can be configured to omit the submit wizard following these
operations. When the submit wizard is omitted, these operations result in a file remaining as
work in progress until a user explicitly submits the file by clicking the Submit button.
To omit the submit wizard, edit iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/
customer_src/application_custom.xml so that the value of skip-submit-step is
true:

1. Base TeamSite 6.5 release
2. Base Search 1.0 release
3. Search 1.0 Service Pack 2
4. TeamSite 6.5 Service Pack 2

Down here we're not using CCSTD, only CCPRO.

In general though, you don't indicate explicitly that you also compiled the UITK (make_toolkit.ipl) after changing that config file, so maybe that's it. Whenever you change anything in iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/ you need to compile the changes. Read the UI customization guide (uicg.650a.cg.pdf) about that (e.g. p18).

If you did compile the UITK, then I'm out of ideas.
