Script Change Description of Workareas

Hi there,

I need to change the workarea description a large number of workareas on several teamsite servers. It would appear that there is no CLT to do this. Does anyone know if there is any way to script this task?

I believe that the CLT iwrename can be used to script this - if all you need to do is rename them.

My apologies - I did not word my question correctly - I've edited it now. I need to change the workarea description rather than the name.

We have recently migrated to teamsite 6.5, and the migration scripts we used did not copy the workarea descriptions (they all appear as '' ).

I'm looking for a way to script the change of these descriptions as it is a process I'm going to need to repeat several times.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is any CLT for doing this (there might be some CSSDK APIs though?).
iwattrib areavpath label will show you what the current description is, but doesn't (as far as I can tell) provide a way to set any of the attributes.
Aside from figuring out how to do this with CSSDK (if possible?) or using a combination of iwrmwa and iwmkwa - you might consider opening up a feature request with Interwoven Support for this (maybe an iwsetattrib CLT?)
