Values Assistance - Automatically Populate fields.

I have a property page for a custom type with value assistance set up for invoices. The custom type includes the following attributes:

Attribute Name
Vendor Name(required)
Database Name(required)

When user selects the property name for an invoice, value assistance automatically populate the database name attribute's dropdownbox with a database name. But it doesn't actually populate it.I have only one database name for each vendor , in short one to one mapping.Is it possible to automatically set the value of the database name by using value assistance

I am using Documentum Content Server 6.5 SP2.

NO, not if you want to store both values

YES, if you only need to store the value of "Database Name" but display "Vendor Name"

Best option is to make database name read only and use a TBO to set the value on save
