Documentum Developer Content Server 6.5 SP 2 Installation Error

Hello,

System:

Virtual Windows XP SP 3, Running on VMWare vSphere.

Install Paths: C:\Documentum, C:\Program Files\Documentum

User account local administratior. PC not tied to a domain.

JRE 1.5_22 installed.

Installation:

All Default Options using the embedded DB etc.

Problem:

DiPADbInstall failed! - Runtime execution failed with child process "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp\installerScript64570.BAT" exit code of 2; For more detailed information, see the error log: C:\TempDoc\setupError.log

Research:

-I have already removed the Core XML Services that came wiht SP3.

-Changed Java versions from 1.6->1.5.

Attached:

-The Batch file that failed

-Install Log

-Setup Log

Notes:

The fact that it failed in this batch files doesnt make any sense. The cd directory exists, and the Service is started?\

The Installation completes however localhost:9080/da gives an unable to connect message.

Any information that you can provide would be very helpful as I have been struggling to get this installed for a week now lol.

I meant that the directory in which you put the installer shouldn't have spaces in it, unzip the install set in c:]****, not c:\xx yy

The installer doesn;t support having spaces in its directory path, put it in a directory with no spaces in the name

which is the lenguage of your OS? I had the same problems, because my OS are Spanish.

Try the installation with OS English Windows.

It is in english .

I will try a install not to Program Files?

but that seems rather odd...

mmm I still get this error.

It turned out that I also had a stuck sql instance (DOCUMENTUMDB) as well.

I had to manually remove it (quite the excercise...)

thanks for the help everyone, It had to be something with the OS install as I just reinstalled XP SP3.

The only thing i did was to install .Net 2.0 with SP2 and acrobat reader. So weird that an OS install could cause so much grief.
