what is MetaData DCT or MetaData DCR...? How can i get more information regarding that....?

well, metadata DCT is datatapture.cfg that is in IW-HOME/local/config

when the metadata is attached, it is stored in the form of Extended Attributes, not in a DCR. However, one could potentially re-create a sort of XML out of EAs, if needed (I needed it a couple of times).

in 6.5 (perhaps 6.x) it's trivial to create XML from a file's EAs by using the '-x' flag on iwextattr:[DEV] ~ > iwextattr -l -x vpath

Once I already commented on this. What I meant is to recreate the real 'metadata DCR' in it form, not the XML representation of key-value pairs.

If one makes a complex metadata DCT (I use them a lot, e.g. with complex Learning Resources metadata application profile), the resulting EAs are, in fact, XPATH representation of every element of 'metadata DCR'.. So, in your example, the keys are still XPATH string.. But I want them to get converted into the inner XML ....

Then a XSL stylesheet could be applied to derive, say a metadata part of an HTML document.....
