How would I enable an XMLStore or integrate xDB with Developer Edition

We are an XML centered organization using Content Server 6.5SP1. I'm currently using developer edition to build and experiment with different models to make better use of our content and Documentum's capabilites. Since we are XML heavy, I'm especially curious about how the new XMLStore and xDB products could be used in our environment. I've found many articles discussing xDB and the developer edition of content server seperately, but am confused on where to start for integrating the two. XMLStore sounds like the logical place for this integration, but I haven't found any information on how to enable this to evaluate within my developer environment?

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction?

I found out that XML Store licensing is not enabled with the Developer Edition. Perhaps, talk to your sales rep and find out about getting an evaluation copy.

Hi,

Yes, using XML Store is a good way to integrate xDB with your Documentum Content Server based applications. There is an XML Store Installation and Administration Guide available. If you go to PowerLink (http://powerlink.emc.com) and search for "XML Store" (include the quotes), you will find this and some other useful documentation. EMC Documentum Education Services also offers a self-paced training course on XML Store Administration (http://mylearn.emc.com/portals/home/ml.cfm?actionID=38&courseID=29512). One thing I'm not sure about though is whether the Documentum Developer Edition has licensing enabled for the XML Store. It's not listed in the Documentum Developer Edition Package list (https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-3177), so I'm guessing the XML Store license is not enabled, but hopefully someone who knows for certain can respond.

Thanks for the info Kristy. I've been reading through the manual, and will check out the self-paced course if we decide to add the XMLStore to our production environment.

I'd like to work with the XMLStore in developer edition to better understand it, and to possibly recommend it's purchase for our production environment. Would anyone be able to answer if this is possible?
