Method is not visible in workflow.

Hi Experts,

I have created a custom class for my workflow. and creted a method for custom class using Documentum administrator.

But i am unable to see the method in the Autoactivity dropdown of the workflow.

Can anybody tell me how to resolve this issue.

U must have to create a method using DAB or Composer to create a WorKFlow Automatic Method,Bcoz there an additional check box(Use as WorkFlow Method) will be provided to make ur method available to workflow auto activity.

Update the dm_method, i.e., set a_special_app attribute to 'workflow'. then restart the app server and content server. then it will appear in auto activity methods drop down list.

Always check 'Use as Workflow Method' checkbox in composer , if method is to be used in a workflow auto activity.

Otherwise , fire the below query for the already created methods,

UPDATE dm_method OBJECT SET a_special_app='Workflow' WHERE r_object_id='<object id of method object>'

No need to restart app server or content server after doing the above changes.

Just close your workflow template and reopen again , it should work.

Thanks for the reply it helped me.

But I am unable to use my form when ever the item moves to other activity I have to select the form manually .

Also I have not checked the mandatory checkbox for form but it is showing mandatory .
