New Form Entry
shr
Hi,
In the branch setup, after navigating to the Agriculture branch, selecting "New Form Entry" is showing a footer and header DCTs in my template list. Selecting them, however, brings up an error.
How can we make them not to appear when we select "New Form Entry" ? or is it the default behaviour for the templating setup by interwoven.
Any suggestions regarding it is truly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi,
I did not understand what is your question is, if i understood properely the answer is :
Before Selecting NEW FORM ENTRY You be at the Level of "templatedata" after this you go for New Form Entry.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
//intw02/default/main/examples/v3/Industries/US/Agriculture/en_US/WORKAREA/Agriculture - this is the directory path
instead of navigating to the templatedata directory - when u do a New Form Entry at this point - all the dct names are getting displayed. But when we select the footer_v3 or header_v3 - the following message gets displayed...
Unable to find //intw02/default/main/examples/v3/Industries/US/Agriculture/en_US/WORKAREA/Agriculture/templatedata/Components/footer_v3/datacapture.cfg. Please contact your system administrator.
Thanks

In TS 6.x, if you don't have prune-missing-files attribute in templating.cfg, all DCTs will be displayed -
even if they are not configured for that directory (ie, there is no category/datatype within templatedata dir)
FormsPublisher engine does not dynamically check for existing templates for perfromance reasons.

typo in my earlier msg .. should read ".. not configured for workarea.." (not directory)

Hi Farooq,
I didn't come across that attribute in the Forms Publisher.pdf . Need more information regarding it.
Thank you

There are many posts regarding this, just do a search on prune-missing-files.

prune-missing-files is documented in the templating / forms publisher developers guide - not the FormAPI developers guide.
