Web CMS (TeamSite)
Teamsite preview error
rudra
Hi,
I have Teamsite 5.5.2 running on a particular server. The problem that is coming that whenever I am trying to preview or generate a JSP page from a Data Content Record, a browser is opening up with the message "Page cannot be found". If I use the generate option, I find that the JSP has been generated in the appropriate folder. However the browser which should display the page that is generated is unable to do so. It is basically calling a CGI script which is failing. The corresponding templating (TPL) files for the Data Content Record are correct in all aspects. This looks to be a configuration issue. Any help or suggestion on this will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Rudranil

Hi,
what OS are you using?
What webserver are you using for previewing your files?
Did you change your iwproxy rules, so that requests for JSP pages are forwarded to a webserver, which can execute them (e.g. Apache Tomcat)?
Regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
The Teamsite server is installed in a Solaris 9 environment. The requests are to be forwarded to a Sun Web server which is supposed to give a view of the pages. You were mentioning rules for iwproxy need to be changed. Could you give me an idea regarding this or any link which may help me in setting up the iwproxy rules?
Thanks,
Rudranil

Hi,
iwproyxy rules are changed in iw.cfg, section [iwproxy_...]
For more information search for "iwproxy" in your TS admin documentation.
You say, that you are using a Sun webserver. On which port is this webserver running?
Try to request your JSP page directly an your webserver, not through your TeamSite webdesk.
If you get back your JSP page there, next step is to configure your iwproxy rules.
imfarooq
run iwpt_compile.ipl with the appropriate options to see if you can generate a file from the command line.
If you can run iwpt_compile successfully, then check to make sure your webserver is responding properly
on the customer webserver port. You can click on a simple html file from within TS to see if it renders.
