Deployment of links failing

Hi All

Can somebody help me figure out the issue with deployment of links? We are trying to deploy a large number of files and symbolic links to those files in a single deployment. The version of OD being used is 5.5.1 in Solaris environment. The source log just reports the number of failed links and nothing else.
On the rcvr logs, I can find ERROR messages for symbolic links, which are something like this:

ERROR: Could not rename (/www/gmgwh/opelde/content/res/img/conf/2006A/0A/0AB08__EDB1_4XUlarge.jpg.iwtmp) to (/www/gmgwh/opelde/
content/res/img/conf/2006A/0A/0AB08__EDB1_4XUlarge.jpg)
ERROR: Could not get file data(./res/img/conf/2006A/0A/0AB08__EDB1_4XUlarge.jpg).

This lead me to check if there are any .iwtmp files, which I found on the target and cleared them up and reran the deployment. Although more links
were deployed this time, but still I find that a lot of .iwtmp were left over and many links were again failed to be deployed.

Any help in this will be appreciated.

Deployment of sym links had some issues in OD 5.5.1. Improvements were made in subsequent releases.

Consider moving up to OD 6.0.2, esp since 5.5.1 is end-of-life.

Thanks for the response. We are planning for the upgrade to a higher version of OD shortly.
But meanwhile we are trying to handle the issues with the existing setup.

Continuing with the same problem, now we are observing it happening with the actual files
and not just links. Any idea why the iwtmp files are left behind after deployment? As per the
documentation, the iwtmp files should be cleared up after the deployment. But in our case,
we not only find that the iwtmp files are left, but this is causing deployment of those files to fail.
Most files, for which an iwtmp is left, their deployment has not gone through.

And above all the OD logs don't report this problem. The logs show that all files were successfully
deployed, if I search for those files, they are not there, instead I find the .iwtmp files for them.

Let me know if you have an idea about why this might be happening.
