Connect server thu DFC on 64 bit OS

Hi Everybody,

I have a 32-bit application written in C# which accesses to the Documentum Server 6.5 thru DFC 6.5. If the app and DFC 6.5 is installed on a 32-bit OS the app is working properly. But if I install them on 64-bit OS (e.g. Windows 7 64-bit) the app cannot connect to the Documentum Server. I think the problem can be that the DFC 6.5 is installed as native 64-bit but the application is a 32-bit app. If I installed 64 bit JVM I have experienced the same.

Have anybody an idea what can be the exact reason of this issue and how to solve this problem? Is there any way to install DFC 6.5 as 32-bit on a 64-bit OS?

How do you interface with DFC? I thought that there was no PIA anymore for DFC 6.5.

Old thread, I know, but in case someone else is finding this. The PIA is still there in 6.6. You probably do not have your application pool set to enable 32-bit applications (it's under Advanced Settings... on the app pool that contains your app).
