Changing installation owner password on Windows

Hi all,
We are in 5.3 SP2 and we need to change the current installation owner password(but not user name) on our Windows 2003 content and index servers(both on different machines).

The CS uses 3 services - docbase,java method server and doc broker

The index server uses - index agent,fastinstream,fast Instraem web server

So do we need to change at all the above services and is there any other place where we need to change them in index server?

Please let us know the steps to change the password on both CS and Index server.What will be the impact/risk of changing the owner password.

Yes, you need to change the password in the corresponding windows services. If the password is incorrect (b/c of password expiration or incorrect password), the application/service may fail and/or will not start up any more.

Hi,

We have the Index server on different machine so do we need to reset the owner password there to and at what all places.

Also do we need to need to update the password in the ftintegrity.params.txt file in the indexagentinstallationdir/IndexAgents/IndexAgentN/webapps/IndexAgentN directory.

How wil we know thet that the ftintegrity tool is running on our index server machine.

Please let us know.
