IWProxy redirect not working

Hi All,

I am trying to redirect for the virtualization, but its not working.

I have added in iw.cfg file

That's necessary if you want to use the iwproxy_preconnect_remap-rules...

Additionally check your regexes...
There's something like

Is this correct? This is a regex for filenames with a lot of points at the end...

Hi,
every webbrowser has some option fields, where you can configure a proxy server: E.g. within MS IE there's a "Connections"-tab in "Internet Options".
But I don't think, that it's really necessary to change your browser's proxy for your requirements...

Let's go one step back:

First try to correct your iwproxy_preconnect_remap-rules:
I assume that you don't mean

...WORKAREA/DIRECTV_CONTENT/DTVAPP/)(.*\.*)?$=http://10.160.142.14/$2

but

...WORKAREA/DIRECTV_CONTENT/DTVAPP/)(.*)?$=http://10.160.142.14/$2

Your given regex matches with names like
a.
b..
c...
but not with
a.pdf
b.html

where there redirecting is working and where it doesn't work?

My requirements are like these:
1.From WORKAREA all files and under directory files redirect to http://10.160.142.14/$2.
2. From STAGING or EDITION all files and under directory files redirect to http://10.160.142.16/$2.

But some .asp,.jsp and .html files still redirecting to localhost only...

Am I missing any thing..?

Do i need check webbrowser or webserver settings?

Your regex's are a bit confusing. It seems to me that if you have two files in your workarea:

/test.asp
/DTVAPP/test.asp

You want both of these to be redirected to http://10.160.142.14/test.asp. Why is it you are doing this? Even if this really is what you want, it won't work the way you have it set up. You would need to have the DTVAPP directory regex first, as the first matched regex will be used. I'm not sure exactly why your regex's aren't working, but try the regex's below and they should do the trick, assuming a few things:

1) You want to redirect files that are at the root of your workarea/staging/edition to the same location you want to direct files that are at /DTVAPP. If this is true, add both the blue and green regex's. If you don't want to do anything special with files in /DTVAPP, just use the blue regex's.

2) You only want files in the store/branch named /iw-mount/default/main/DIRECTV/SITE_LAUNCH redirected.

3) You want all workareas in this branch redirected to the same url (http://10.160.142.14).

Assuming the above 3 statements are true, the below regex's should yield what you're looking for:

_regex=^/iw-mount/default/main/DIRECTV/SITE_LAUNCH/(STAGING|EDITION/[^/]+)/(.*$)=http://10.160.142.16/$2

The DTVAPP and the non-DTVAPP regex's could be combined into one if you truly want both redirected to the same url, but I can't understand why you would want this, so I left them separate. The STAGING and EDITION regex's could be separated, but once again I don't know why you would want to do this, so I left them as one.

Just some advice. If you're going to call yourself an interwoven developer, I would recommend learning the basics of regular expressions, as they will be very useful.
