Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help with an error I get when trying to install the IDS target software on a Linux (Centos 5.4) host. I run the IDSTargetLinuxSetup.bin and I get the GUI installer just fine. However, after clicking next and accepting the licence and agreeing to the installation location, it starts the install with the progress bar and fails quite quickly with a generic message:
"An error occurred and product installation failed. Look at the log file /home/idstarget/documentum/IDSTarget/install.log for details."
This log file contains nothing I can see as being useful in debugging this problem:
(Aug 2, 2010 1:37:17 PM), Setup.product.install, com.documentum.install.shared.common.beans.product.action.DiPACreateDirectory, dbg, Deleted /home/idstarget/documentum/IDSTarget

It may be pertinent to mention that I am using AWS EC2. I have successfully installed IDS target on another machine based on a slightly different machine image. The fundamental difference is that the failing machine has a different type of storage - however the OS cannot tell the difference. I am looking for other differences but have not yet found anything.
I'd also been keen to find a way of avoiding this manual installshield installer since it stands in the way of fully automating my environment setup.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
