Error while starting Index Server through DA

Hi,
I am getting the following error while starting the Index Server through DA.

If I try to start it using http://<Index Server>:9200/IndexAgent1/login.jsp it is showing the status for both index server and Index Agent as started.

I am not getting any errors in the logs.

Even http://<IndexServer>:21000/admin/systemoverview/ is showing a proper result

But when I am trying to do a fulltext search I get an error.

Please let me know any suggestions to solve this issue.

Hi,
There are no issues with contents getting indexed.

I am able to successfully search the contents using FAST URL "http://<Index Server>:15100".

The issue seems to be with DA. As mentioned earler, the logs of Application server shows:
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.ibm.CORBA.iiop.ORB incompatible with org.omg.CORBA.ORB

Any suggestions?

I bet you're using WebSphere application server. This seems to be a class loading problem, as some Class is loaded before the Class packaged within da.war. You should set the "Parent last" instead of "Parent first" class loading order inside the web module (not the application) in the WebSphere console.

Yes, we are using WebSphere application server. But we have the class loading order as "Application Class Loader first". I guess you mean the same when you say "Parent Last".

Further, the same DA instance was not giving any error with the Primary Index server. I am getting this error only with the Secondary Index Server.

Any suggestions from your side?

Yes, parent last means application first, somewhere this terminology is used, I never know where is which used.

It can be that an another application loaded the same class so the class is not loaded once again - so try to set the loading priority of the da_war application to higher, and restart your application server.
