CC Standard - Custom Portlet
JanPeterMeyer
Hi,
I want to add a custom portlet to CC Standard and integrate the TS function "New Edition" and a custom IPL call. Can't find an example in the documentation...
Do you have an idea?

You can't find an example of adding the portlet, or the New Edition command or the IPL, or all of the above?
Look on page 80 of the User Interface Customization Guide document that shipped with TeamSite 6.5, in the section called adding a custom portlet.
Hope this helps,

Hi Bill,
yes i have seen this. thank you!
The problem i have is, that i want to integrate a portlet that gives the user the ability to create a new edition.
therefore i need a dropdown list with the workareas the user has access to inside the portlet:
Is there a chance to use a interwoven function?
Best regards,
Jan-Peter

We added this capability inside of the workarea view in CC Standard. That made it easier to just call the new edition function on the current branch. If you want to have this ability on the homepage, you will need to use the CS SDK methods (classes CSVPath, CSClient, etc.) to get the list of branches, but is fairly straightforward.
Unfortunately, you have to embed all of your logic in the JSP fragment, rather than an MVC approach, since the CC Std. homepage is assembled by an enclosing process.

Hi Bill,
how do you have integrated this capability inside of the workarea view in CC Standard?
Best regards,

We just used the information provided in the UICG to add a link called New Edition on the top of the menu bar. This calls a servlet that determines the current branch and makes a call to the Interwoven provided new edition command.
