Hi,
I am new to xCP. I can't seem to find where to download and or install a connection broker. Both xCP and the content server require they are mapped to one.
How do I proceed?

If you read the Content Server installation guide, you would see that its part of the Content Server install.
That's what I thought because I did read that there but at installation it asked for the connection broker. I'll try installing again.
Which product are you installing? Webtop, Taskspace, or Content Server? If Webtop/TaskSpace, you need to add the host server name to dfc.properties file for the webapp. This is described in the deployment guide
If Content Server install, verify that Connection Broker is running. Connection Broker should be installed first before installing Content Server.
I am installing Documentum Content Server for Windows SQL Server, Version 6.6.
I downloaded the install from powerlink. I can't find any reference to Connection broker in the install folder or any reference to a seperate download in powerlink.
Can you send me a link to where I can obtain it?
There is no link. As you were told already it is part of the content server install. Has been since the year dot... hard to imagine it has changed for version 6.6... So once you have the content server software installed and rebooted the server, the repository configuration wizard should launch.
first option of that wizard should be to create, upgrade or delete a connection broker... If you have already created one, then make sure it is started (open up the windows services)
Just an FYI. Its not part of the content server 6.6 install. It is however part of the Developer Addition 6.6 install. i'm hoping xCP will now install along with it
Developer Edition contains multiple products (eg content server, taskspace, forms builder, etc). It is part of the Content Server install if you are using the individual product install.
