Full text indexing issue.

Hi All,

I am using webtop 6.5 sp1 and i have installed the full text server and agent .

It is working fine but documents are not getting indexed automatically.

However when I select a document and select File -> New -> create Queue Item, it gets queued and indexed properly and also I am able to search it.

Why is it not happening auatomatically? Do I have to do it manually for every document?

log on to DA as superuser and check to see if dm_sysobject type is enabled for fulltext indexing.

yes dm_sysobject type is enabled for fulltext indexing . but still the document are not been automatically indexing and i have also enabled a custom type for fulltext indexing.

one clarification. We had unchecked "Register for Indexing" for dm_sysobject type before and checked it only for our Custom types.

This was done for only indexing our requried custom type to save space.

Is this the reason that this problem is occuring?

Do we have to always set "Register for Indexing" for dm_sysobject (i.e. all objects in docbase)?

Answer is no. you can make indexing enabled for subtypes of dm_sysobject and

that doesn't make any trouble.
