Atrribute of a folder

The attributes of a folder can only be modified only by members of ABC Unit group.

Whats the approach to customize this one

Does other groups need permission to create documents in the folder?

Only the attribute(metadata) to modify, its not content.. Only by the ABC unit group

Then you need to assign an ACL to your folders, the ACL should have dm_world = browse (or none), ABC group = Write permissions.
