When I create a text hyperlink in my dcr, VFE automatically puts htdocs in my 'a href' path which cause the hyperlink to break.

Is there a way to remove this auto fill in feature?

Another way, you could just write a regex to remove it in tpl.

How are you adding a hyperlink? I have had no problem adding external hyperlinks with 6.5 SP2 on solaris, but haven't tried the internal ones. You may want to look at the visualformatconfig.xml. There are a lot of configuration items that can be placed in there - and that may be where the htdocs is coming from (if it does not appear to be coming from your TS instance.) If there are just a few links that you are using, you may also look at the quicklinks in visualformatconfig.xml
