I am trying to insert or external insert a pdf file. All other files work fine but few files stay in active job queue and disappear without inserting it. What could be the reason?

Greetings. The PDF processing in the MediaBin server is done by scripting a copy of Acrobat Reader on the server machine. Therefore diagnosing the problem entails looking both at the file and your specific environment. I.e., this is best undertaken by Support as the answer is likely not to be generalizable.

As a quick test, however, in these cases you should always attempt to open the file with the copy of Acrobat Reader (or in some cases full Acrobat) actually installed on your server. In some cases simply upgrading your copy of Acrobat may solve the problem.
