Problem with generated page

TeamSite version: 6.5
OS: Solaris

Problem:

Preview or a generated page shows dead images even if the image is on the server.

Error:

As you can see, the webserver is not finding the files that are being requested.

Workaround found: Download all the files and upload them again. Then the preview works fine.

Please help me find out the cause of the above problem.

Did these images work at some time through TeamSite? Did they ever stop working again after you downloaded and uploaded?

Yes, the images worked fine before this problem surfaced.
The images work fine after we download and upload them back.
